A great challenge and adventure, well worth doing.
I can guarantee you, the days will be packed with amazing moments you will not want to forget!! Each day brought something new - unforgettable memories with great people, new friends.. new weather, new destinations, new challenges on never ending hills followed by rewarding downhills.. breathtaking scenery all the time, either view down on the lakes and surrounding villages or view up on the mountains and fields around us.. And the most amazing thing is that all this had a purpose.. Much deeper purpose than just to have some fun, 'pump up few muscles', and feel sweat on our backs.. we were all driven by thoughts of raising money for children strongly affected by poverty so that also they can have some hope for better future.. and I love this idea!!!
What a fabulous trip! Stunning Parisian scenery, a cohesive group to cycle with, good food and lots of fun and laughter - who could ask for more? I enjoyed every minute of it and would do it again. Many, many thanks to 25000 spins for organising the trip and to all my friends who sponsored me.
It was a lovely holiday and the group was fantastic. We had so much laugh every evening in the restaurants that we needed to have a walk around to cool down before going to bed :). French country side was beautiful, food was tasty, and riding in Paris down town was the best way to get around. Unforgettable life experience!
I would just like to thank you VERY VERY MUCH for the fantastic opportunity that you gave me to cycle from London to Paris. I REALLY enjoyed every bit of it (OK..............maybe not the hills on the 4th day!)....from the incredibly good, kind and warm back up that we had, to the patience that you showed at all times and your hard hard work in organising everything before and during the event!!
It was a totally fantastic experience!!! I felt like I was in a different world... I completely switched off from my own problems as every morning all together we hit the tarmac with our wheels with the thought of children in need ... the hills were pumping up our quadriceps and hamstrings- (I thought I won't fit into my jeans after those four days :) ) and everyday was so rewarding - the awesome scenery, fantastic people, great atmosphere which wasn't ruined by heavy showers on the third day at all!!
Amazing support from our 'van team' always providing lots of bananas and water and of course our lunches on the grass. I'm very happy I joined the team and could be a part of it!
With each day that passes, I realize just how special this trip was. I feel blessed and thankful that you talked me into it. (Just ignore any words to the contrary I may have said while we were actually doing it :) ....
This was probably the most challening thing I have ever done physically, emotionally, and spiritually. That being said, it was the most rewarding in each of those areas as well. This truly was a once in a lifetime opportunity and there are so many moments I will never forget.
Had such a memorable time on the 25000spins London to Paris cycle in 2009. The achievment you felt after completing each day was very satisfying and knowing that it was for a good cause made it even all the more enjoyable.
Hope we are lucky enough to come along again some time in the future.
The ride, loved it, the accomodation was great. Stopping for lunch in the cool little french towns was a highlight of each day. The challenges of the mountains to climb for the whole group was huge and an amazing feeling once done. I Talked about it for months afterwards, the photos, Paris was brilliant. Loved the celebration and laughs at the end. Lots of fun times during the trip, the group of people was perfect. Everyone got along really well. The weather was unreal.
I am really pleased I did it last year. The fundraising wasnt too hard. To raise the amount of money required. Everyone was interested in what the money was going towards and happy to give. The feeling of achievement was so good at the end for everyone! A real team event!
