Q1 What is the main focus of your charity?

UNICEF is the world’s leading organisation focusing on children and child rights, with a presence in more than 190 countries and territories.  We work with local communities, partners and governments to ensure every child’s rights to survive and thrive are upheld.UNICEF is as an intergovernmental organisation (IGO). This means that we work in formal partnerships with governments, and have access to and influence with those governments on programme and policy development for children.

Our global reach allows us to share knowledge across borders, while our local presence means we can deliver assistance where it is needed most. We are ready to respond rapidly wherever disaster strikes, delivering life-saving help for children.

Q2 How important are donations to your charity?

UNICEF does not receive any funding from the UN budget. We are funded entirely by voluntary contributions.

Q3 What difference will the following amounts of money make?
